Clinical Data Management

We have developed a family of software products consisting of Trauma One, Emergency One and Fire-Rescue One for clinical data management. These products have been developed for Lancet Technology Inc., USA. Lancet Technology is a leading provider of computerised solutions for hospitals and pre-hospital care worldwide. These products are based on a common data engine, which provides complete scalability and configurability for data acquisition and reporting tasks. All products in the family share the same look and feel, and while each is a full-scale system in its own right, they all plug together seamlessly, so that as a patient moves through successive phases of medical care, the corresponding data can be collected within the system. We are currently in the process of a ground-up rewrite of these applications providing significantly augmented functionality, diverse platform and device support and incorporating contemporary technologies. We expect these products to available in early 2006.

We have been associated with Lancet since 1987 and in addition to the above products; have also successfully undertaken various software projects in the area of clinical data management and clinical device interfacing for them. Some of the major projects executed by us include.

TEMIS

The Los Angeles County Trauma and Emergency Medicine Information System (TEMIS), developed in association with Lancet, is our largest multi-institution system. It monitors the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) response for the entire county of Los Angeles. TEMIS was designed to meet state-mandated data requirements and to assist the EMS agency in assessing and coordinating all EMS components encircling both public and private emergency facilities including 28 paramedic base hospitals, 13 trauma hospitals, and 65 EMS providers. This is the largest integrated EMS/Base Hospital/Trauma system in the world, with over 750,000 patient records handled annually.

Multi-facility Emergency Department - Franciscan Health System

A multi-facility centralized database system has been installed at three hospitals that are part of the Franciscan Health System - St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma, St. Clare Hospital in Tacoma, and St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way. This automates many aspects of patient care and documentation. In the initial implementation stage, each site is using the base system, partial nurse charting, and discharge instructions. Interfaces are established between the hospital’s registration system and Emergency One.”

Data Warehousing

We execute projects in the area of data warehousing in conjunction with G7 Systems, USA, for leading companies in the banking, financial services and insurance sectors in the USA. The most significant project has been for a leading multi-national insurance company. The project has involved setting up a multi-terabyte data warehouse and providing analytical capabilities.
